Governance

The British Schools Foundation is one of the leading international schools organisations, with an established global network of 10 world-class schools, located in eight countries across three continents.

The British School of Nanjing (BSNJ) is part of The British Schools Foundation (BSF), a UK registered non-profit organisation and a leading international school group. Its principal function is the governance of member schools in accordance with the BSF School Charter.

The Headteacher of BSNJ is responsible for the day-to-day management of the school, and reports to the Board of Governors at BSF.

The Board ensures the highest standards are met in all aspects of school life including academic performance, employment practices, quality of facilities and the promotion of general well-being within the BSNJ community.  Decisions are academically driven whilst prioritising the well-being of both students and staff.
