Seven schools and over 100 children from Year 5 and 6 competed over three days of competition in athletics, swimming, and football.

Schools from Nanjing, Hefei and our sister school in Moscow, who flew in especially for the games, competed. Day 1 saw NIS host the athletics and there were some fine performances on display as students competed in a range of track and field events.

Day 2 saw BSN host our first-ever inter-school swim gala. There was some fierce competition and outstanding swimmers on display from all teams. There was a great atmosphere pool-side as parents and students got behind their teams!

The sun was shining on a glorious spring day as the third and final day of the Games saw 11 teams (5 girls and 6 boys) competing in a 5-a-side football competition. Once again, there was some superb competition and sportsmanship on display from all teams as the excitement reached fever pitch around school and there were some dramatic scenes and passages of play during games!

The Games concluded with a closing ceremony in the auditorium with individual and overall team awards given out. Well done to all teams and athletes on a wonderful effort and memorable competition in the inaugural Nanjing Junior School Games. You can view a highlights video of the Games, by clicking here.

We look forward to the Nanjing Games 2019!
