BSN at 2017 BSF Music Festival

Congratulations to all our students who took part in the BSF Music Festival in Moscow and to Last Minute, our very own band, who came second in this year's BSF Battle of the Bands!

During the last week of Term 2, students from The British School of Nanjing travelled to Moscow to take part in The British Schools Foundation (BSF) Music Festival alongside 200 other students from nine BSF schools.

Hosted by The International School of Moscow (ISM), choirs and orchestras from across the schools worked on an inspiring range of pieces from Tchaikovsky and Borodin, to Earth Wind and Fire and The Carpenters, culminating in a grand finale concert on Friday 31st march at the Rublevo theatre in West Moscow.

After the concert, the annual BSF 'Battle of the Bands' competition took place with students treated to an exclusive performance by acclaimed Russian musician and songwriter, Diana Arbenina, whilst ISM's band 'Gravum' took home the first prize.

Live streamed around the world, BSN band Last Minute's set of songs showcased their extensive musical and vocal range, whilst channeling some serious dance moves, in a highly energetic performance that helped them clinch second prize in this fierce competition!

We are extremely proud of all our students who took part and contributed to the 2017 BSF Music Festival, an exciting musical and cultural exchange opportunity on offer to students across The British Schools Foundation.
